Our generous friend and wickedly talented mandolin player, Colin “CC” Cosgrove, recently spent some time with us recording a couple of demos featuring Steven’s exceptional mandolins! While we have been busy preparing for our upcoming showcases (see details below), we have also dedicated a significant amount of time working on our “company van,” which is a vintage 1980s VW Vanagon that we acquired from Steven’s mother. Our plan is to drive and stay in the van during the IBMA World of Bluegrass week, so we only have another month left to get it into tip-top shape! Take a look at the work we’ve done so far!

Fretboard Summit August 21-23 2025

Come see us at the Fretboard Summit, an exciting event hosted by the Old Town School of Folk Music, taking place at their campus located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago, IL. We look forward to connecting with you there!

IBMA World of Bluegrass September 16-20 2025

We will also be exhibiting at the IBMA World of Bluegrass, which will take place in the vibrant city of Chattanooga, TN this year! We look forward to engaging with fellow musicians, enthusiasts, and fans of bluegrass music, and sharing our passion for exceptional string instruments.

VSA Annual Convention November 19-22 2025

This will be our first time attending the Violin Society America’s Annual Convention and we are looking forward to seeing old friends from the industry and expanding our network! The convention this year will be held in Minneapolis, MN and Shelby will have a viola or two in the New Instrument Exhibit. We’re excited to share our craftsmanship and engage with fellow musicians and makers during this special event
