First Martignacco 5 String Fiddle!

Shelby finished up her first 5 string fiddle just in time for the IBMA World of Bluegrass conference! Our friend and fellow luthier Ian Parker was generous enough to record an awesome “twin fiddling” style demo for us! Despite experiencing some unfortunate van troubles on the way to IBMA World of Bluegrass, it was still such an amazing and memorable time! Meeting wonderful people in the community and being fully immersed in incredible music brought us so much joy. We are already looking forward to next year’s event!

We took a little break from our making work recently to make some improvements to our workshop space! Steven has been working tirelessly building new wood storage, creating more efficient work spaces, and treating/painting the crumbly basement walls. It’s a long term project, but it’s definitely already been very gratifying.

VSA Annual Convention November 19-22 2025

This will be our first time attending the Violin Society America’s Annual Convention and we are looking forward to seeing old friends from the industry and expanding our network! The convention this year will be held in Minneapolis, MN and Shelby will have a viola in the New Instrument Exhibit. We’re excited to share our craftsmanship and engage with fellow musicians and makers during this special event.
